Funko Pop! Rides Super Deluxe: The Batman (2022) – Batman in Batmobile #282

Design and Detailing

This Super Deluxe Funko POP! Rides figure stands out with its meticulous attention to detail, combining the dynamic design of the Batmobile with the stylized form of Funko POP! The Batmobile, which plays a significant role in the film, is depicted here in all its glory, with Batman himself at the helm, ready to take on the criminal underworld of Gotham City.

The Batmobile is crafted with an eye for detail, replicating the gritty, muscle car aesthetic from the movie. The figure features the vehicle’s angular, robust design, complete with matte black finish and armored plating that gives it a formidable presence. The front grille, which is a key feature of the Batmobile, is carefully sculpted to reflect its aggressive, almost animalistic design. The headlights are subtly integrated into the design, giving the vehicle a menacing look that fits perfectly within the dark and gritty world of Gotham.

One of the most impressive aspects of this figure is the attention given to the Batmobile’s rear engine. The sculpting here showcases the raw power of the vehicle, with exhaust flames bursting out, a nod to the Batmobile’s incredible speed and power as depicted in the movie. The tires are detailed with treads that suggest off-road capability, adding to the realism of the design while also staying true to the film’s portrayal of the Batmobile as a rugged, versatile machine.

Batman, seated in the driver’s seat, is captured in his full armored suit, as seen in The Batman. The figure maintains the stylized proportions typical of Funko POP! figures, with Batman’s oversized head and small body, but it does not compromise on the detailing of his suit. His cape is sculpted to flow naturally behind him, adding a sense of movement as if he’s speeding through the dark streets of Gotham. The cowl, with its pointed ears and sleek design, is accurately represented, along with the tactical suit that is both functional and intimidating.

Batman’s expression is one of intense focus, a hallmark of the character’s determination and drive to protect Gotham. His gloved hands grip the steering wheel tightly, emphasizing his control over the Batmobile and his readiness to pursue justice. The figure’s pose and the overall composition create a sense of dynamic action, making it feel as though Batman is in the midst of a high-speed chase through Gotham’s shadowy streets.

Character and Vehicle Background

The Batmobile has always been one of the most iconic elements of Batman’s arsenal, evolving with each iteration of the character. In The Batman (2022), the Batmobile is reimagined as a powerful, muscle car-inspired vehicle, reflecting the darker, more grounded tone of the film. This version of the Batmobile is a symbol of Batman’s raw, unrefined approach to crime-fighting in his early years as Gotham’s protector.

Batman, portrayed by Robert Pattinson in the film, is depicted as a younger, more brooding version of the character, still honing his methods and driven by a deep sense of vengeance. The Batmobile complements this portrayal, serving as both a tool and a symbol of Batman’s relentless pursuit of justice. Together, Batman and the Batmobile form an inseparable duo, representing the duality of man and machine in the fight against Gotham’s underworld.
